About Faith Lutheran Church of the Valley

We are a Canonical (official) Lutheran Church and a member congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Conference and Ministerium (ELCM). We accept the Apostle’s, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds as true declarations of the faith of the congregation. We believe, teach, and confess the Bible is the word of God and final authority. We confess Jesus as our lord and savior, “That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” (Romans 10:9-10)

Our congregation was formed in August 2010 in the Broadway/Timberville area.  We worshiped at the Broadway community center until, by the grace of God, we purchased our current church building in 2018.  Our calling is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ… “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19) Additionally we are called to support one another in prayer, witness to the community, study the scriptures, help those in need, and practice responsible stewardship.
